Brand consulting defines positioning statement, target consumers/buyers, key brand benefits, brand personality, packaging design stance, appropriate graphics, product naming and other core competencies. The brand is the personality that identifies a product. Brand consulting manages the physical representation and consistent application of brand identity across visual identity carriers. This can include signage, uniforms, liveries, interior design and branded merchandise. Brand implementation encompasses facets of architecture, product design, industrial design, quantity surveying, engineering, procurement, project management and retail design. Careful brand management seeks to make the product or services relevant to the target audience. Brands are more than the difference between the actual cost of a product and its selling price - they represent the sum of all valuable qualities of a product to the consumer. There are many intangibles involved in business, intangibles left wholly from the income statement and balance sheet to determine a business's worth. The learned skill of a knowledge worker, the type of mental working, the type of stitch: all may be without an 'accounting cost' but for those who truly know the product, for it is these people the company should wish to find and keep, the difference is incomparable.

A brand widely known in the marketplace acquires brand recognition. When brand recognition builds up to a point where a brand enjoys a critical mass of positive sentiment in the marketplace, it achieves brand franchise. One goal in brand recognition is the identification of a brand without the name of the company present. Consumers may look on branding as an important value added aspect of products or services, as it often serves to denote a certain attractive quality or characteristics. From the perspective of brand owners, branded products or services also command higher prices. Where two products resemble each other, but one of the products has no associated branding, people may often select the more expensive branded product the quality of the brand or the reputation of the brand owner.

Genital Warts

Genital warts often occur in clusters and can be very tiny or can spread into large masses in the genital or penis area. In women, they occur on the outside and inside of the vagina, on the opening (cervix) to the womb (uterus), or around the anus. They are approximately as prevalent in men, but the symptoms may be less obvious. When present, they appear on the tip of the penis. They also present on the shaft of the penis, on the scrotum or around the anus. Rarely do genital warts also can develop in the mouth or throat of a person who has had oral sex with an infected person. Genital warts may disappear without treatment, but sometimes eventually develop a fleshy, small raised growth. There is no way to predict whether they will grow or disappear. Genital warts (or Condyloma, Condylomata acuminata, or venereal warts) are a highly contagious sexually transmitted infection caused by some sub-types the human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV spreads via direct skin-to-skin contact during oral, genital or anal sex with an infected partner.

Older Adult Addiction Treatments

The aging of baby boomers results in a higher number of elderly people and aging adults. Older adults with a history of lifetime drug use, plus different cultural norms and general attitudes about drug use, and increases in the availability of psychotherapeutic medications, may cause a higher number of older adults with substance use problems. Although no drug treatment programs exclusively target older adults, research to date indicates that current addiction treatment programs can be as effective for older adults as for younger adults. However, substance abuse problems in older adults often go unrecognized and therefore untreated.

Gastric Bypass

Gastric bypass procedures are any of a group of similar operations used to treat morbid obesity—the severe accumulation of excess weight as fatty tissue—and the health problems it causes. Bariatric surgery is the term encompassing all of the surgical treatments for morbid obesity, not just gastric bypasses, which make up only one class of such operations. A gastric bypass first divides the stomach into a small upper pouch and a much larger, lower remnant pouch and then re-arranges the small intestine to allow both pouches to stay connected to it. Surgeons have developed several different ways to reconnect the intestine, thus leading to several different bypass names. Any bypass leads to a marked reduction in the functional volume of the stomach, accompanied by an altered physiological and psychological response to food. The resulting weight loss, typically dramatic, markedly reduces comorbidities. The long-term mortality rate of gastric bypass patients has reduction of up to 40 percent.
